Clifton Beach is very similar to Kewarra Beach, largely untouched by tourist development, due to a high number of residential premises. It is very much a vilage like community with a laid back atmosphere.
The beach is fringed with shady swaying trees, and there is always a quiet place to spend an evening sipping a glass of wine or taking a pre-dinner stroll. This deep, clean beach, entertains a moderate swell from the southeasterly trade winds.
Between Clifton Beach and Kewarra Beach there is a rough track through the mangrove forest bordering Deep Creek, this is an interesting walk and often a good place to spot local wildlife and birds.
Remember to always take note of signs and warning around waterways in Australia, some of our local wildlife isn’t too fond of sharing its space.
Clifton Beach has a small shopping center for essentials, liquor store and a very well stocked tackle shop for the avid fisherman.
