The Australian renowned, Mackay Festival of Arts, has a program encompassing all art forms scattered in ideal venues all over Mackay. The eleven day art phenomenon has events and activities including world music, Jazz, opera, literature, food, wine and masterpieces from a selection of Australian and International artists. Moving away from the arts, Clermont parades a Goldfest in mid August. This memorable, gold themed festival celebrates the gold mining heritage and gold fossicking activities found in inland Mackay.
