Palm Cove is only 20 minutes from Cairns city and Cairns International Airport, and has developed into a bustling center for tourists. Beachfront Bars and restaurants draw large crowds and regular surf lifesaving events, concerts and local festival activities keep Palm Cove very busy and colourful.

The beach offers picnic tables and free barbeques along its entire length. Many Reef vessels pick up at the Palm Cove Jetty, and local fisherman are usually lining the sides trying once more for ‘the one that got away’.
